Offset lithography
Offset lithography is the modern form of lithography, using ductile metal plates as printing formes. With this mechanical printing process, both metal plates and sheets of paper can be printed with the aid of interlayered rubber cylinders (offset blankets) to create a planographic transfer print. Offset lithography makes it possible to make large editions of prints quickly and economically.
