Dedication copy
A dedication copy is a free copy of a work that is presented by an author, artist or publisher to someone for personal, political, commercial or other reasons. Such books are, moreover, usually marked as gifts by the presence of a hand-written signature, dedication text or even a drawing intended for the recipient of the book on the end-paper or frontispiece.
