Art auction Stuttgart

Art collectors in Stuttgart don't have to travel far to one of the most successful German auction houses. The established auction house Ketterer Kunst in Munich - which has its roots in Stuttgart - regularly realizes record results for works by famous artists. In 1954 Wolfgang Ketterer opened an art gallery in Stuttgart and organized first auctions. In 1965 he relocated from Stuttgart to the Villa Stuck in Munich and established the house for auctions of modern art. In 1994 Robert Ketterer, son and present owner, took over the auction house. He increased success, with 3,500 square meters ground area on three floors and an art display window with spectacular dimensions of 8 x 23 meters, the "House for Art" opened in Munich-Riem in direct vicinity of the New Munich Fairgrounds in 2008.
