Allen Jones
Biography
Allen Jones was born in Southhampton on 1 September 1937. He studied art from 1955 to 1960, first at the Hornsey College of Art and later at the Royal College of Art in London. In 1964 Jones went to New York for two years where American Pop Art had a major impact on him. In the following years Allen Jones regularly received assignments from different art colleges. Jones, who lives in London today, is considered to be an influential artist of British Pop Art.
