Alexander Bertrand
Biography
Alexander Bertrand was born on October 27, 1877, in Darmstadt. In 1894, Bertrand began studying at the industrial art school in Düsseldorf in the elementary class of Heinrich Lauenstein. He later went to the art academy, also in Düsseldorf, to study under Peter Jansen and Claus Meyer. In 1904, he began working as a professional artist in Düsseldorf, where he died on April 22, 1947, in Düsseldorf.
