Alberto Magnelli
Biography
Alberto Magnelli was born on July 1, 1888, in Florence. Magnelli went to Paris at the age of 26. There he met Pablo Picasso and Fernand Léger. As a painter, Magnelli was self-taught and later focused intensively on abstract painting. He attained a well respected mastery of his skills and style. Magnelli took part in the documenta in Kassel in 1955 and 1959. The artist died on April 20, 1971, in Meudon.
