Numbered and with a label on the reverse, there numbered and inscribed "Feuerbach". 47 x 35.5 cm (18.5 x 13.9 in).
PROVENANCE: Galerie Fritz Zickel, Berlin (until 1930, Kunsthaus Lempertz, November 25, 1930, there offered as a work by Anselm Feuerbach, with a certificate of authneticity from Hermann Uhde-Bernays).
Collection Theodor Johannsen, Wedel (presumably acquired from the above in 1930).

LITERATURE: Kunsthaus Lempertz, Cologne, Galerie Fritz Zickel, Berlin: due to the complete abandonment of the business and deletion of the Fritz Zickel company in the commercial register, auction on November 25, 1930, lot 16 (with illu., offered as Anselm Feuerbach: Mädchenkopf im scharfen Profil nach links, Römerin mit Korallen-Halskette; with a certificate of authneticity from Hermann Uhde-Bernays).
