Some ll. dated, most inscribed. cm ( in)Up to 30 x 53 cm (11,8 x 20,8 in) Sketchbooks in various bindings, formats ranging from small 12° up to large oblong folio. The first part from 1877 also contains academy studies. The other vols. comprise various travel studies and sketches, mostly of coastal landscapes, fishermen etc., which are mainly inscribed with places' names. Among them: Baltic Sea with Flensburg, Kappen, Rügen, Stralsund. Some views of the North Sea with the islands of Juist and Wangerooge, also Denmark and Norway with Bornholm, Swaneke up to Bergen.
