Signed and dated in lower right. Signed, dated and inscribed "Bielefeld" on the reverse, as well astitled and inscribed "No II WIDEH." and with the work number "88".
With an illegible inscription on the stretcher. 73 x 88 cm (28.7 x 34.6 in). [EH].

• Expressive colorfulness developed from complementary contrasts.
• In 1909, Sagewka. Peter August Böckstiegel and Victor Tuxhorn founded the artist group "Rote Erde".
• Sagewka was ostracized as "degenerate" by the Nazi regime as of 1937.
• Many of his works were destroyed in an air raid in 1944
.
