At first he was active as custodian at the Museum for Modern and Contemporary Romanian Art in Galati. In 1972 he became assistant to the class of form studies at the Bucharest University. From 1976 to 1978 he was head of the culture department of the ‘Deutsche Kulturhaus‘ Friedrich Schiller in Romania. In 1979 he immigrated to the Federal Republic of Germany and continued his curatorial activities in Munich. In addition to these tasks, he also made numerous sculptures. His works can be found in public spaces in Galati/Romania, Tel Aviv/Israel, Oberhausen and in the Old Botanic Garden in Munich. Besides having been part of several group exhibitions, he has also had one-man shows at the Galierie Abigail, Budapest, in the MTA-MADI-Museum in Györ (Hungary) and the Alex Gallery, Washington DC. In 1998 he made the sculpture path through Vaterstetten near Munich, which comprises 12 monumental steel sculptures. The sculpture "Öffnung" (Opening ) from this series is in possession of the Mannheimer Kunsthalle today. Along with his artistic activities, Ingo Glass is exhibition designer for the Department of Arts and Culture of the City of Munich. [EH]
