Composition study executed with some alterations in the painting of the same name from the days. As the sheet clearly shows, Nay finally completed the step to abstarction in 1951. [DB].

The sheet will be included into the forthcoming œvre catalog of Nay's watercolors, gouaches and drawings, which is currently prepared by Elisabeth Nay-Scheibler and Dr. Magdalene Claesges, Colognen.
