• Warhol came up with the idea for the portrait series in Beuys' acknowledged retrospective at the Guggenheim Museum, New York in 1979.
• Andy Warhol was one of the most important and most influential artists of the 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private collection Northern Germany.
In good condition, colors in fine impression. With a slight, barely visible rubbed spot across the image in the upper half. Center of right margin with a small finger mark from the making. With two tiny spots of flaked colors in the picture's lower part.
