Signed and dated in center right of the image and inscribed with the dedication "für Dieter Honisch zum 60ten" in lower right. On Hahnemühle wove paper (with the watermark). 106.5 x 78 cm (41.9 x 30.7 in), size of sheet. [AW].
• Bright chromatic colors with a strong glow.
• In 1957 Heinz Mack and Otto Piene founded "ZERO", one of the most importantpost-war artist groups.
• In 1959 and 1964 Mack exhibited at documenta II and III. In 1970 he represented Germany at the XXXV. Venice Biennale.
• From the ownership of Dieter Honisch (1932-2004), famous art historian and former director of the Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin, .
PROVENANCE: Private Collection, Northern Germany.
In good condition, with fine colors. Outer margins slightly creased and with minmal isolated handling creases and small traces from the making. Lower left corner with a diagonal kink and all in al lsightly wavy.
