Signed in lower right and somewhat illegibly dated. Signed, dated and titled on the reverse. 70 x 60 cm (27.5 x 23.6 in). [EH].

• With his participation in documenta I (1955), he became one of the leading representatives of German Informalism and abstract post-war modernism.
• From October 2023 to January 2024, the major exhibition “Fritz Winter - documenta artists of the first hour” was hosted by the Neue Galerie in Kassel.

In good condition. With a color loss in the lower edge of the image owing to framing. Isolated slight rubbing. Purple part with slight water stains and subtle craquelure. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the help of an ultraviolet light and to the best of our knowledge.
