PROVENANCE: Private collection Southern Germany (acquired from Berta Walde, the artist's daughter).
Alfons Walde does not only depict rough men and buxom Tyrolian countrywomen. A part of his oeuvre shows a completely different artist, one who treasures capricious women. With a great deal of sophistication he depicts self confident long-legged women, who accentuate their sex appeal. [KD].
