In his works on paper, the "chromatic color fields" Mack itemized light's spectral colors. The 'color-chromatic' works are particularly captivating for their intensive glow and pure colors. The artists strikes a key tone in each picture that he balances through a mix ration. He lets the range of colors appear rich and idiosyncratic. The impression of a radiant immaterial purity always occurs.
