Further, the tops moved in a semi-circular motion to open the pictures, each divided from corner to corner and disappeared into the margins and thereby revealed a different illustration beneath" (Haining). Die anmutig illustrierten Tafeln mit der floralen Rahmung zeigen einen Tag am Meer, Goldlöckchen und die drei Bären, Spiele mit Hund und Katze, das Fischen, Sommer und Winter sowie Frühling und Winter. Lowes Verse über Goldlöckchen basieren vermutlich auf der handgefertigten Vorlage von Eleanor Mure aus dem Jahre1831 basieren (vgl. Haining). - Gut erhaltenes Verwandlungsbilderbuch.
