The clear and poetic pictures by Tom Seidmann-Freud (actually Martha Gertrud Freud, a niece of Sigmund Freud) stylistically follow Expressionism and New Objectivity. "Her experiments in working up traditional materials in books with mechanisms, such as Das Wunderhaus (1927) and Das Zauberboot (1929)" is remarkable (translation of quote from Doderer III, 373). - Minimally thumbed, pastedowns with signature of a child, 2 small splits with trace of adhesive film.
