Schönes und dekorativ gebundenes Exemplar, hier mit den Illustrationen nach Marillier statt der für diese Ausgabe vorgesehenen Kupferfolge nach Chochin und Moreau (Frontisp. u. 6 Tafeln). "On a joint souvent à cette édition soit la suite des 24 figures de Marillier, soit celle des 25 figures par Moreau" (Cohen/R.). - Stellenw. gering stockfl. oder leicht gebräunt, 1 Vortitel mit 2 kl. Randausrissen, 1 VDeckel mit 2 kl. Flecken, Rücken minim. verfärbt.

Beautiful printing with Didot types on strong wide-margined velin. Fine and decorative bound copy with engr. portrait after Vivien and 24 copper plates after Marillier. Contemp. red morocco, richly gilt á la dentelle, inside gilt borders and gilt edges. - Partly minor foxing or slight browning, 1 half-title with 2 small marginal spots torn out, 1 front board with 2 little stains, spine minim. discolored.
