Rare. - the maps and plans show: world, Patagonia, Juan-Fernandez-islands, Manila, Philipines, Pacific and more. The nice plates with scenes of natives, views of coasts, depictions of ships and others. - According to the register of plates 3 plates lacking, one world map not mentioned in the register is additionally bound in. - Somewhat waterstained and slightly browned in places, 3maps with rebacked tear, endpapers renewed, bindings with restored defects in places. All in all fine and broad-margined copy.

I: With 2 engr. title vignettes, engr. portrait vignette, 14 (12 folding) engr. maps & plans and 18 folding copperplates (of 21). - II: With engr. title vignette, engr. vignette in text and 8 (4 folding) copperplates. Contemp. vellum. - Partly some waterstaining and slight browning, 3 maps with backed tear, endpapers renewed. Bindings with few restored damages. In general good copies with wide margins.
