Signed, dated and titled as well as numbered by a hand other than that of the artist. From an edition of 20 copies aside from several unnumbered copies. On smooth wove paper. 38 x 32.7 cm (14.9 x 12.8 in). Sheet: 70 x 55,5 cm (27,5 x 21,9 in).

• Around 1923, bathers were among Heckel's favorite motifs.
• These works show an existence in unspoiled nature liberated from the constraints of everyday life.
• The work shows two women on the beach at Osterholz on the Flensburg Firth.

In good condition. With a few creases and small traces from the making in the lower margin. Unobtrusive creases along the left and right margins. The dark stains in the paper probably all due to the paper production, possibly with the exception of a dark stain in the lower left next to the image.
