III (of 3 and appendices), containing the 'Silvae' in first edition. 60 lines of commentary surrounding the text. 19th cent. half morocco with richly gilt spine. - Partly backed worming in the margins, here and there slightly stained, few leaves waterstained. Edges rubbed, 1 trace of knocking. - Broadmargined copy with numerous contemp. marginalia and glosses, some of them in red.
