Signed and barely legibly inscribed "[..] Selbstdruck". On wove paper. 59.5 x 41.5 cm (23.4 x 16.3 in). Sheet: 64 x 46 cm (25,1 x 18,1 in).
• Co-founder of the "Secession 1919"
• The color, applied onto the printing block with the brush instead of the brayer, add an individual, partly relief-like structure and a unique appeal to each woodcut.
• Owing to the special application of the colors each work is of unique character.
• Very rare.
PROVENANCE: Max Lütze, Berlin.
Private collection France (inherited from above).
Good overall impression. Sheet discolored, however, colors still in bright impression. Sheet with two skillfully rebacked splits that impair the overal impression just minimally.
