Erste Ausgabe der berühmten niederländischen Flora, die erst 1934 mit insgesamt 28 Bänden vollendet wurde. - Mit sorgfältig kolorierten Kupfern. Die Bände erschienen in Lieferungen, jeder Band erhielt 80 Kupfertafeln. "The Flora Batava is one of the great National Floras , and is comparable in extent and span of publication with the Flora Danica. Publication was initiated by J. C. Sepp and Zoon, who were responsible for the first thirteen volumes" (De Belder). - Mit umfangr. Subskribentenverzeichnis im Bd. I. - Ohne Tafeln und Begleittext zu Nr. 349 (Junars lamprocarpos ) in Bd. V. - 1 vord. Innengelenk gebrochen. Einbde. berieben und etw. bestoßen, 1 Rücken nahezu gelöst. Innen schönes, kaum fleckiges Exemplar.

Contemp. half calf with 2 colored labels and gilt spine. - Lacking plate and text to no. 349 (Junars lamprocarpos) in vol. V. - 1 inner joint broken. Binding rubbed and bumped, 1 spine detached. Inside fine, nearly stainless copy.
