One of 6 small doors formerly attached to a cabinet . Alexej von Jawlensky's son made many furniture paintings of that type. [KP].
Accompanied by a correspondence between Andreas Jawlensky and the consignor's late brother in law from 1958, in which the artist confirms this artwork's authenticity (in copy).
PROVENANCE: Ben Soliman, Wiesbaden.
Estate Dr. Anton Brühl, Wiesbaden (acquired from aforementioned as part of a piece of furniture in 1930).
