1889 - 1975
Mann mit flacher Kappe und im gelben Sport Shirt. 1972.

[AR].
- Extremely lively, characteristic “shorthand painting.”
• From the sought-after late work of the American-European artist.
• Offered for the first time on the international auction market (source: artprice.com).
This work is registered under the number “M 72/11” in the Holmead Archive, Frankfurt am Main. We are grateful to Birgid and Hans Christoph Groscurth for kindly providing this information.
PROVENANCE: Private collection, Northern Germany.
EXHIBITION: Holmead, Galerie Döbele, Ravensburg, February 8-March 22, 1986.
In good to very good condition. Very small, silver-coloured deposits from the frame in places along the edges of the picture. White, crystalline-looking marks on the paint surface in places in the lower and left-hand areas of the picture, probably caused by the natural ageing of the colors. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the aid of a UV light source and to the best of our knowledge and belief.
