PROVENANCE: Hamburg private collection, acquired from previous owner in 1962.
The elegant three-master under yard and schooner sails is realistically depicted by Holst and it sems to be sailing into the beholder's direction. Fine ship portrait by the Hamburg marine painter, student of the ship portrait painter Julius Lüdders on Finkenwerder.[UB].

PROVENANCE: Hamburg private collection, acquired from previous owner in 1962.
