Dated "5 9 23" in upper margin. Title "Kammin" in lower right nearly fully faded. 19.5 x 16.5 cm (7.6 x 6.4 in), size of sheet.
Verso inscribed "Disegno di mio padre, Lyonel Feininger s.L.F." by a hand other than that of the artist.
• View of the gate of the town of Kammin (today Kamien Pomorski) in Pomerania.
• In the past 39 years, only two other Feininger drawings of Kammin were offered on the international auctions market.
• The spontaneously rendered townscapes are characteristic documents of Lyonel Feiniger's journeys through Thuringia, Mecklenburg and Pomerania.
PROVENANCE: Private collection Schleswig-Holstein.
LITERATURE: Sotheby's, December 4, 1975, lot 420 (here: "Kirche im Dorf", illustrated (the above mentioned inscription "Kammin" still visible).
Overall discolored, somewhat stronger in the mount section. Slightly sunned. A small paper loss from a previous mounting in the upper right. Slight creasing in the lower right corner of the sheet. Remains of the former, completely faded inscription still visible with a magnifying glass. 2 holes in the upper margin, probably from the making.

Dated "5 9 23" in upper margin. Title "Kammin" in lower right nearly fully faded. 19.5 x 16.5 cm (7.6 x 6.4 in), size of sheet.
