• Large-format woodcut from the "Brücke" heyday.
• The bold composition with the trimmed heads on the left and the clearly visible grain of the woodblock make this a particularly fascinating work.
PROVENANCE: Galerie Elfriede Wirnitzer, Baden-Baden.
Hermann Gerlinger Collection, Würzburg (acquired from the above in 1987, with the collector's stamp on the reverse, Lugt 6032).
