Bis auf die sehr seltenen Supplement-Bände vollständiges Exemplar des bekannten Werkes mit den Pflanzendarstellungen in zartem Kolorit. Die schönen Kupfertafeln zeigen überwiegend Blütenpflanzen, ferner Farne, Gräser, Moose, Flechten und Algen. - "It is one of the most celebrate British floras, the chief reason for the work's success being the charming engravings by Sowerby. The author, Smith, whilst desiring such success was disappointed in the lack of notice taken of his descriptions which he hoped ..
