First edition of this lavishly made splendid publication, hard to find on the market in this completeness. - The work was published between 1839 and 1841 in a total of 51 issues. With 4 engr. titles and 295 partly colored and gilt-heightened engr. plates. Contemp. dark blue half morocco bindings with gilt lettering. Imperial folio. - Partly foxed and browned, bindings scraped in places and somewhat scuffed. All in all fine copy of the splendid paleographic standard publication.
