Not in Schmücking any longer. Each signed and numbered. From an edition of 30 copies. On wove paper. Each 230 x 90 cm (90.5 x 35.4 in) , size of sheet.
The Norwegian artist and Hans Hartung's later wife Anna-Eva Bergman was born in Stockholm in 1909 and studied at the Statens Art Academy in Oslo as of 1926, later she was active in Vienna and Paris. In 1929 Bergman and Hartung married for the first time and were divorced in 1937. In 1957 they married a second time and lived together in Southern France up until Bergman's death in 1987. [CH].
The work is registered at the archive of the Fondation Hans Hartung et Anna-Eva Bergman, Antibes. We are grateful to the Fondation for the kind support in cataloging this lot.
