Our view of a farmstead in fresh colors originates from the period in Hans Michaelson's artistic development when the artist had just left Impressionism and touched Pointilism. The painting is a prime example of Michaelson's style in those days, it captivates the observer with its strong colors that he applied to the white ground in short and thick strokes of the brush.
