• In 1969 Baselitz made the first picture with the motif upside down.
• In 1980 Georg Baselitz was starring artist of the German pavilion at the Venice Biennial.
• In 1985 he made a series of pastoral themes, like this horse under a tree.
The work is documented in the Archive Georg Baselitz with the number GBZ 2064.
