Manuskripte. - Kontorbuch of the Family Schulte von der Horneburg (Altes Land near Hamburg). From the last quarter of the 15th century. 89 ll., of which 73 pp. written in brown ink. Size of sheet ca. 29 : 21 cm. - Contemp. slanted wooden boards on 3 bands with blind-tooled calf and 2 brass clasps; endpapers using an older vellum manuscript (around 12th/13th century). Blind-tooled with double frames of slant iron lines, outer and inner panel with various stamps (lily, blossom, mythical creature).

Bank book of the Schulte family from the 'Alte Land' near Hamburg, the biggest contiguous fruit orchard in Central Europe. An important document of the region's contemporary history. With entries on business transactions, possessions etc. - Slightly thumbed in places. Binding rubbed, spine ends with defective spots, else with just few small blemishes; movable parts of clasps removed. All in all well-preserved manuscript in a fine contemp. wooden board binding.
