With the date added to the poster in lower right. Titled, dated "13 décembre 1964", signed and inscribed "rue Saint-André des Arts" on the reverse. Also inscribed "Affiches lacérées 13 décembre 1964", with French custom stamps and the number on the reverse. 60 x 40 cm (23.6 x 15.7 in).

• Villeglé is an important representative of "Nouveau Réalisme", which he co-founded together with Yves Klein, Daniel Spoerri, Arman and Jean Tinguely in 1960.
• His 1960s avant-garde trademark were décollages made from posters torn down in Paris, the "affiches lacérées".
• The first highly acclaimed retrospective of this important "archaeologist of the street" was held at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm in 1971.
• Décollages by the artist can be found in the collections of the Musée national d'art moderne, Centre Georges Pompidou Paris, the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and the Tate Gallery, London
