The work is registered in the Hermann Gerlinger Collection as SHG 121a. [AR].
• The motif was inspired by Schmidt-Rottluff's summer stay in Nida on the Curonian Spit, where he lived in a fisherman's hut.
• From an important year: in 1913, the "Brücke" disbanded due to discrepancies.
PROVENANCE: Hermann Gerlinger Collection, Würzburg (acquired in 2009: Bassenge, with the collector's stamp, Lugt 6032).
EXHIBITION: Buchheim Museum, Bernried (permanent loan from the Hermann Gerlinger Collection, 2017-2022).
