• Lyonel Feininger spent time in Zirchow on the Baltic island of Usedom on several occasions.
• He depicts the town's church in several important paintings, among them 'Zirchow V', 1916 (Brooklyn Museum, New York).
• Clear characteriztation of St. Jacob church in Zirchow after nature.
Achim Moeller, director of the Lyonel Feininger Project LLC, New York – Berlin, has kindly confirmed this work's authenticity. It is registered in the archive of the Lyonel Feininger Project with teh number 1776-04-06-22. The work comes with a certificate.

LITERATURE: Karl & Faber, Munich, May 25, 2007, lot 963.
In good condition. Edges minimally wrinkled in places. Left margin slightly irregular, as this sheet presumably comes from a sketch block. [EH]
