• Of all the works made between 1899 and 1904, this drawing is characterized by the highest tectonic clarity.
• Schmidt-Rottluff effectfully uses the power of black and white in the heightening of the birds in the water.

In good condition. With small isolated brownish spots. Lower edge slightly wavy and with small blemishes, top of the right margin with an unobtrusive handling mark that does not impair the image.
