Munich, June 3, 2020, (kk) - Internet auctions continue to gain momentum. "Total proceeds of around € 500,000, grossed in our Online Only Auctions in May alone, clearly underline the importance of the digital auction platform," says Robert Ketterer, owner of Ketterer Kunst, Germany's leading art auction house. This is an eight-fold of the total grossed over the same period last year. And the tendency is upwards. A permanent presence and the high quality of artworks offered on www.ketterer-internet-auctions.com catches on.
This trend is not only reflected by a skyrocketing number of bids, but also by sharp price increases and top results. In May nine works were knocked down beyond the € 10,000 mark. Realizing a threefold of its starting price Emil Schumacher's mixed media work even fetched € 22,500.
