Ketterer Kunst Again Ranked Among Global TOP 10
Munich, January 19, 2021 (kk) - In 2020 Ketterer Kunst consolidated its position in the global TOP 10 of the top-selling auction houses for Art of the 20th and 21st Century*. Thus the leading art auction house in the German language region delivers proof of both its international strength as well as an enormous stability in a time of crisis.

The globally active expert for art from Germany is not only the strongest-selling owner-managed family enterprise world-wide, but has also been domestic market leader for years. Last year the house kept the German runner-up at bay by seven ranks.

The top level that Ketterer Kunst reached is underlined by impressive figures such as a total trade volume of around € 61 million**, as well as by some seven artworks placed among the ten highest national auction prices, with three of them even beyond the magic million-euro-line. In total the house realized a stunning 125 results above the € 100,000 line** as well as 22 world records and scores of remarkable increases.

"I am very happy that we once again confirmed our top position in the world wide ranking," says Robert Ketterer, auctioneer and owner of Ketterer Kunst. This is not a given in the face of a global pandemic. The company boss explains: "Apart from our longtime focus on innovative digital concepts, we largely owe this top position to our clients, as their confidence and quality awareness are key to our success. They love fine art, both for its own sake as well as a valuable asset."
