Munich, 2 July 2019, (kk) - At first sight the wicked "Capitano" by HAP Grieshaber and Dodo's elfish "Figurine" do not have much in common, however, both are bound to take a child's heart by storm. So it might be a good idea for parents to have a look at www.ketterer-internet-auktion.com from July 15 on. Up until August 15 at 3 pm the Ketterer Kunst ONLINE-ONLY special theme auction offers "Art for the Smallest Collectors" - starting at pocket money prices of € 1.

Nowadays art is everywhere. It makes our lives richer, more colorful and more exciting. But what about the rooms our children live in? Are the kids really too young to be surrounded by fine arts? Exactly the opposite is the case, as we approach new things with a lot of curiosity, creativity and impartiality at a young age, abilities that often wane in the course of time. What could be a better way to improve a child's perception and to stimulate communication?

"I am very happy about this first auction that is only about the interests of the youngest collectors, while at same time offering high-quality works by acclaimed artists", says company owner Robert Ketterer.

The motifs in this unusual special theme online auction are as colorful and joyous as the artists they come from are renowned. Next to Erich Heckel's drypoint etching of a jolly "Römischen Tänzerin" (Roman Dancer) and Max Klinger's aquatint etching Intermezzi" with grumbler and hammock, Max Ernst's color silkscreen "Ein Mond ist guter Dinge" and Georg Schrimpf's color woodcut "Spielendes Kind" also spread joy and happiness.

Calder
Alexander Calder
Hommage to the Pyramids
Color lithograph, around 1970, 78 x 58 cm
Calling price: € 1.870

We enter animal kingdom through various bird pictures by, among others, Georges Braque, Corneille and Heimrad Prem. Walt Disney is represented with two gouaches showing "Das Fußballspiel der Tiere" from the classic 'Animalympics' and the lion "Prinz John". Alexander Besel contributes "Schmetterlinge im Abendlicht" and Pablo Picasso several bulls and horses from his "Tauromaquia".

Bright colors and a lust for life are characteristic of the works by Horst Antes, Sonia Delaunay-Terk, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, Max Peiffer-Watenphul and A. R. Penck. Cornelia Schleime's work of a girl with pigtails and a dog calls reminiscence of Pippi Longstocking while Ralf Peters' "Schwimmbad", Christian Boltanski's "Les Vacances à Berck-Plage (Août 1975)" and Eduard Bargheer's "Bewegtes Meer vor Forio d'Ischia" let us dream of summer holidays.
