Duesseldorf, 31 March, 2015 (kk) - Renowned museums from Duesseldorf to New York have honored the acclaimed artist group. Next to the triad Heinz Mack, Otto Piene and Günther Uecker, Ketterer Kunst pays tribute to around a dozen other representatives with the exhibition "ZERO" at its Duesseldorf branch.

After the exhibition at Ketterer Kunst in Berlin was met with wide recognition, important works, amongst them early originals by Bernard Aubertin, Enrico Castellani, Gotthard Graubner, Oskar Holweck, Adolf Luther, Heinz Mack, Otto Piene, Hans Salentin, Klaus Staudt and Herbert Zangs, will be shown on Malkastenstrasse in Duesseldorf as of April 15. Some of these works will be auctioned in Munich in June.

Today the puristic aesthetic of ZERO art is more topical than ever. Who doesn't long for a new beginning in our hectic world where nothing seems to be certain any longer? A period of silence is crucial to draw strength and to be open to new ideas. Only this peace allows the transition from an old and used up state to a new one.

With great courage and a will for innovation, the internationally influential artist movement proclaimed the "Zero Hour". With their groundbreaking ideas, dateless aesthetics and philosophical depths they made art history. Robert Ketterer, owner and manager of Ketterer Kunst, will give an address on occasion of the exhibition's opening on April 14.
