On a Course of Expansion
Ketterer strengthens its Berlin Team of Experts
Munich, 12 January, 2015, (kk), (kk) – The beginning of the new year marks a big change: Ketterer Kunst increases its expert staff in its Berlin representative office. "Offering our clients in the capital and the surrounding Brandenburg region a more comprehensive and personal service has been a major concern to me for quite some time", says Robert Ketterer.
Dr. Simone Wiechers
Stefan Maier
From now on Dr. Simone Wiechers and Stefan Maier, two professional partners for expertise and evaluation of artworks from the 15th to the 21st century, are at your service.
Stefan Maier, who discovered his love for art in his early childhood on occasions of numerous museum visits with his family, studied art history in Munich and Berlin. Following his long-term activities for the "Stiftung Preußische Schlösser & Gärten Berlin Brandenburg” (Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg), as well as various interior design projects, he started his own gallery in Dresden in 2003. At around the same time the corporation Theo Müller recruited him into its council of art advisers, to which he renders valuable services up until today.
Dr. Simone Wiechers studied art history in Marburg, where she was initially active for the university's Museum of Visual Arts. In the following she was entrusted with artistic and organizational management at the art association "Haus am Lützowplatz" in Berlin. Ever since she earned her doctorate with a thesis on the artist Paul Baum in 2005, she has been deeply rooted in the Berlin art commerce. She held a directorate post at Galerie Deschler and was active for the art trader Dieter Brusberg, before Ketterer Kunst could win her and Stefan Maier for its Berlin branch.
Since it was founded in 1954, Ketterer Kunst has been firmly established in the front ranks of auction houses dealing in fine art and rare books, with its headquarters in Munich and a branch in Hamburg. Representatives in Berlin, Heidelberg, Duesseldorf and Modena (Italy) contribute substantially to the company's success. In addition, exhibitions, special theme and charity auctions as well as permanent online auctions on www.ketterer-internet-auctions.com are regular events at Ketterer Kunst. Robert Ketterer is owner and director of Ketterer Kunst. Press inquiries:
