Dekorative Darstellungen der Fresken Domenichinos im Kloster Santa Maria in Grottaferrata zu den Legenden des Heiligen Nilus.

Die Marterdarstellung Domenichinos zeigt ihn "als den eigentlichen Fortsetzer der Monumentalkunst der Carracci" (Thieme/B. IX, 400). Ferner mit Darstellungen der christlichen Tugenden, Evangelisten, Kirchenväter, Verkündigung Marias u. a.

Einband: Halblederband d. Zt. 53 : 40,5 cm.- ILLUSTRATION: Mit gestochener Titel- und 3 gestochenen Textvignetten, 2 gestochenen Initialen, gestochenem Porträt sowie 44 Kupfern auf 28 (5 doppelblattgroßen) Tafeln von F. Bartolozzi, P. A. Pazzi, C. Gregorius u. a. nach D. Zampieri.- KOLLATION: 2 Bll.; 8 röm. num. S.- ZUSTAND: Umbeschnitten. Tls. etw. stockfl. und leicht gebräunt. Einbd. fleckig und (bes. an den Kanten) etw. beschabt, Kap. mit Läsuren.

With engr. title vignette and 3 engr. text vignettes, 2 engr. initials, engr. portrait and 44 copper engravings on 28 plates (5 double page) by F. Bartolozzi, P. A. Pazzi, C. Gregorius et al. Contemp. calf with gilt decoration. - Untrimmed. Partly slightly foxed and lightly browned. Binding stained and scraped (mostly at the edges), spine ends with small defective spots.
