Justinianus
Institutiones. Mit der Glossa ordinaria des Franciscus Accursius. Venedig, Jacobus Rubeus, 20. Juli 1478.

LITERATUR: GW 7596. - Hain/Cop. 9505. - Goff J 517. - BMC V, 217. - BSB C-638.

Fine rubricated scholion printing by J. Rubeus in Venice. Rare and presumably early printing variant: the first leaf is completely blank, without the list of contents on verso. Decorated with 4 fleuronne initials and numerous painted lombards in red or blue. Contemp. wooden boards (inner binding damaged, spine and covering removed). 88 (of 90) leaves, the first and last blank. - Lacking leaves b5 and b6. - Mostly light soiling in the margins, upper margin at beginning and end somewhat waterstained, here and there small marginal defects and small wormtrace, few old marginalia. Else good and broadmargined copy with small column heading by contemp. hand, first leaf with painted and florished coat-of-arms (oxidised, not recognisable).
