Schellmann 91. Signed, dated and numbered 23/50. On wove paper by BFK Rives (with watermark). 16,5 x 35 cm (6,4 x 13,7 in). Sheet: 50,4 x 65 cm (19,8 x 25,5 in).
This sheet is a woodcut from an edition that was first made in 1973/74 from printing blocks cut between 1948 to 1961. Each one sheet of these woodcuts in black were added to the de-luxe-edition B of the book "Joseph Beuys. Bleistiftzeichnungen aus den Jahren 1946-1964" by Franz Joseph and Hans van der Grinten, which was publsihed by Heiner Bastian in Propyläen Verlag, Berlin. Printed by Franz Joseph van der Grinten, Gaesdonk. [KP].
