Augustinus, A., Opuscula prima. With numerous lombards drawn in red . Strasbourg, Martin Flach, 11 August, 1491. Contemp. pigskin over wooden boards on 3 double bands with rich blindtooling: boards with frames of quadruple slant iron lines, center panel of front board with rhomb tendrils and foliage stamps with blossoms, bars with rhomb-shaped griffin- and lily stamps in margins as well as ornament leaves, rear board with diagonally crossed slant iron lines, side panels with rose- and foliage stamps, side bars with nice bird stamps (pelican with fledglings in nest); 2 brass clasps (incomplete). Folio. 267 numb. ll. Got. Type. 2 columns. 49 lines.

(and Add.) 1950. - Goff A 1221. - BMC I, 151. - BSB A-899 (with table of contents). - Polain 396. - Collection of small writings, first published by Flach in 1489. - Lacking 6 ll. preliminaries (title and table of content) as well as last blank l. - At the beginning and at the end with some waterstains, first and last 5 ll. with small trace of worming as well as small marginal blemishes; endpapers renewed and with ms. notes, with a ms. register mounted at the end (20th century). Binding rubbed in places, spine end chipped (mended). All in all well-preserved and broad-margined copy on strong paper , with contemp. marginalia and in a nice Strasbourg wooden binding.

Collection of small writings, first printed 1489 by Flach. With numerous red painted lombards. Gothic type, 2 columns. Fine contemp. Strassbourg binding: blindstamped pigskin over wooden boards on raised bands, panels with several single stamps (griffin, foliage with blossom, pelican with chicks in his nest, etc.), brass clasps (incomplete). - Lacking title and the 6 leaves contents. Some waterstaining at beginning and towards end, first and last 5 leaves with small wormtrace and slight marginal defects, endpapers renewed and with ms. notes, mounted at end an index by the same hand. Binding partly rubbed, spine ends with tears an defective spot (mended). Good and broadmargined copy on thick paper with contemp. marginalia.
