Sein posthum erschienenes geographisches Elementarbuch hat .. in zahlreichen Auflagen und Bearbeitungen ein Jahrhundert lang als Grundlage des Geographieunterrichts gedient." (NDB) - Enthält eine Weltkarte (Shirley 586), 4 Erdteilkarten, 29 Karten von Europa, 7 von Asien und 2 von Afrika. - Fehlen das Frontispiz sowie die letzten 3 Registerbll. - Tlw. mit kl. Randläsuren und etw. fleckig (die schönen Karten meist nicht betroffen), Titel mit kaum sichtbaren Stempel und hs. Nummer; Bindung tls. gelockert oder beschädigt. Einbd. fleckig und bestoßen, Rücken mit Einriß.

With 43 engr. maps (partly double-page or folding), 3 copperplates and 2 folding tables. Contemp. vellum. - Lacking the frontispiece and last 3 index-leaves. Partly with small marg. defects and some staining (mostly not affecting the fine engr. maps), faint stamp and ms. numbering to title; inner binding partly loosened or damaged. Boads stained and bumped, spine with tear.
