Loose sheets in illustr. orig. wrapper and black orig. half calf boards with gilt lettering, in orig. boards slipcase. Folio. 5 ll., 113 pp., 9 ll.

Basel/Bonn no. 117. - Monod 2926. - Spielmann, Cocteau cat. 184. - 1 of 25 Roman numb. copies of the de-luxe edition on papier pur chiffon à la main Isle de France ivoire, signed by the artist and publisher in publisher's imprint (complete print run 255). - With printe ddedication: "Ce livre est dedié à Madame Pablo Picasso avec ma tendresse fidèle. Jean Cocteau" at the beginning. - The edition was made on occasion of Picasso's 80th birthday ad comprises eleven texts by Cocteau. The 24 lithographs, wiht which Picasso illustrated the book, were made in Cocteau's style. - With minor marginal blemishes in places, spine and edges of slipcase rubbed, all in all fine and clean copy.
First edition. With 24 lithographs by P. Picasso. Orig. wrappers and book-case. - 1 von 25 numb. copies of the luxury edition on special paper, colophon signed by the artist and the author. With printed dedication for Madame Pablo Picasso by Cocteau. - Partly very slight marginal defects, back and edges of the casing slightly rubbed, otherwise good and clean copy.
